What is Experiential Based Learning?
Experiential based learning can also be referred to experiential development and training or experiential teaching. This means that there is a development and learning that has been achieved through the use of experience and involvement by personal determination rather than receiving trainings, teaching s with the means of observations, study of hypothesis or theory, or listening.

Experiential based learning is used before having the learning takes into new phase. This will create optimistic emotional platform that can respond confidently and positively in the near future learning as well as having areas that are unnecessary and uncomfortable will have positive learning.

This also brings the impression of multiple intelligence, where these people are not limited in the 3 R’s and some means of teaching which are writing and reading only.

Through experiential based learning, this is a mode that will break the teaching and trainings practices that people are constrained to develop at work and in school. And there are two major way to have teachings and training practices: the conventional way of learning and other is the experiential based learning.

Experiential based learning characteristics

1. Learner- centered. The learner puts into action what he/she learned
2. It is always flexible to open possibilities
3. This is an internal growth as well as discovery
4. Developing the emotions, skills, and knowledge thru experience
5. There is no fixed structure with minimal facilitation
6. It is not time bounded with endless components
7. There will be outcomes that are flexible and it is individually directed
8. Learns through games, role-play, drama, physical activities that can be put into real circumstances.

According to the statistics made by Gartner, there will have a shifting of 50% on the enterprises which are in high-performance through the development of experiential based learning that will boost the effectiveness of the people.

There is also a research that was conducted in Bethel, Maine by the National Training Laboratory which is drawn into pyramid. The conventional way of learning includes in the two topmost part of the pyramid which are the reading and the lecture. The long term learning like reading based and lectures drop to 5-10 percent category. The most part of 80-90 percent goes to experiential based learning.

This proves that experiential based learning is on the top part of how a person can learn without practicing the theories which was read and memorized.

This allows a full immersion to engage to its role and meet the practical situation that they can fully understand and use their instinctual drive on how to solve it. There are solutions that encompass fun and interests that will catch the people’s attention making them remember the lessons that have been taught.

The values of being taught thru experiential based learning are:

- There is an accelerated accomplishment on the business goals
- There is an increased take-up, buy in agreement for cultural transformation initiatives.
- Improvement of relationships, performance, cooperation, and communication
- It is lucrative, faster, and improved rated education
- And lastly, there have a joint cross-organizational appreciative goal.
